This was the first of the Deco Dream Fusion Jackson Guitar. It is the only one I have found that has a perfect face. It belongs to my best friend who still plays it out every weekend with a band in Denver, CO...lots of road miles but it is still beautiful and has great sound.

SMARTLIGHT 31 SERIES SILVER

The SmartLIGHT 31 Series (silver) was a nice enough telecater style electric built with and top of the line components. It's real selling point, however, was the FretLight system. Guitars with the FretLight system have LEDs embedded at each fretting position for each string. When connected to the Fretlight PLUS box this allows the fingering for chords, scales to light up on the fingerboard. By connecting to a computer with the SmartPORT 2- PC connection you could also jam along with MIDI tracks and interactive lessons.

The SmartLIGHT 31 Series Gold model is very much like the 31 Series Silver model expect it came with 2 humbuckers, birdseye maple top, gold hardware and no pickguard.  It also has the FretLight system. Guitars with the FretLight system have LEDs embedded at each fretting position for each string. When connected to the Fretlight PLUS box this allows the fingering for chords, scales to light up on the fingerboard. Neal Schon of Journey joined the PRS family of artists in 2013 with two distinct signature models: the NS-14 and NS-15. Neal was intimately involved in the design of nearly every aspect of these instruments...from the stylized f-holes to the hardware details.

The NS-14 is a completely new PRS design incorporating a 14” semi-hollow singlecut body with a new neck joint designed to allow greater access to the higher frets. The NS-14 comes with flame or quilt top options (10-top or normal figuring).

The NS-15 is a thinline hollowbody based on the Neal Schon limited edition Private Stock guitar offered in early 2012.  Neal Schon is well known for his use of Floyd Rose tremolos and the NS-14 and NS-15 models added a Floyd Rose to the PRS Core line for the first time.

GIBSON TAL FARLOW

The Gibson Tal Farlow model was first introduced in 1962 and production ran until 1967. The design was based on the ES-350 that Farlow used in the 1950s. The Tal Farlow was a limited success at the time for several reasons. Farlow himself had already retired from active touring and playing by the time his signature model was released, also large archtops were becoming less sought after by players in the 1960s. These 1960s Tal Farlows are the rarest of the Gibson's 1960s archtop Artist models: only 215 were made in total.

Review:

Stunning guitar - had mine since 1989 - white when I got it and is now a lovely soft creamy white. Tone has mellowed too. What it is worth I don't know - I just know I hardly ever see one mentioned or offered on the market. Perfect instrument

Alvarez 12 string model 5021

Wish that I knew the exact date it was made. Tried to talk to some one that I thought would know from Alvarez but, gave me general information. Plays well and I'm very pleased that it had come to me by the way of my wife's Aunt. God bless her.

GARRISON GUITARS G-50 #unknown

Gibson purchased Garrison in July of 2007 and this is the flagship 12 string that Garrison made. Model# G50-12-E. The on board electronics make this thing sing and is one of the cleanest sounds I've ever heard from an acoustic guitar. I see so little info on this guitar on line but if you ever get a chance to hear one I would highly recommend it. Looking to sell it soon since it far outclasses my playing.
