Korg

Korg Inc. is a Japanese multinational company that makes electronic musical instruments, audio processors and guitar pedals, recording equipment, and electronic tuners. Korg was founded in 1963 in Tokyo by Tsutomu Kato and Tadashi Osanai as Keio Gijutsu Kenkyujo Ltd.(it later became Keio Electronic Laboratories) and their first product, released in 1963, was an electronic drum machine - the Donca Matic DA-20. In 1967 the company developed an organ - sold as the KORG and this became the companies overall brand name. In 1973 they designed their first synth the Korg miniKORG and by the 1980s Korg were making electric pianos. In 1992 they acquired Vox - best known for its guitar amplifiers and under this brand they make guitar amplifiers and electric guitars.
