Line 6

Line 6 is a company specializing in musical instruments and audio equipment, known for pioneering guitar amplifier and effects modeling. Founded in 1996 by Susan Wolf, Marcus Ryle, and Michel Doidic, the company is headquartered in Calabasas, California. Its products include guitar effects, amplifiers, software, electric guitars, and wireless systems. Line 6 became a subsidiary of Yamaha Corporation in 2014.

Line 6 gained recognition with its 1998 POD modeler, which revolutionized affordable guitar amp modeling. In addition to expanding the POD line, the company launched its Spider amp series, the Variax guitar line, and Helix, a top-tier modeling effects unit introduced in 2015.
