Luis Arostegui Granados

Luis Arostegui Granados is a Spanish guitar maker who born in Granada in 1932. He initially worked as a cabinet maker in the 1950s and around the same time started making guitars. He did not apprentice with any of the Granada makers, but he is said to have been a frequent visitor to Manuel de la Chica's workshop, where he must have learned some tips. He relocated to Madrid in 1960 where for many years he built guitars in the Madrid tradition as well as lutes, requintos and bandurrias. He retired in 2012 and soon after passed away in 2013.
