Star Shaped Guitars

Here are some star shaped guitars. The Malmberg Star was a one-off for Björn from Abba (he played it at at the 1974 Eurovision Song Contest). Perhaps this inspired Gerry Shephard of the Glitter Band to comission his star guitar from John Birch in 1975. Both the Malmberg and John Birch Star guitars have been recently re-issued in limited numbers - and the First Act Custom shop make a Birch Star inspired signature model for Martin Gore of Depeche Mode. The Cort Star guitar appeared in the 1980s but was not made in great numbers.
