Hans van den Berg

Hans van den Berg (born 1960) is a classical guitar maker from South Africa. He was interested in woodworking, in particular furniture making, but did not come to guitar making until 1996. He learned from books initially and made spruce guitars in the style of José Romanillos and cedar guitars in the style of Daniel Friederich. In 2007 he built a workshop next to his home in Meyerton, South Africa where he now works full time.
